Let them eat cake!

After making it through Zachary's official second birthday, I realized that we didn't have cake. So, we threw together an impromptu bday party with some of our family and friends to help Zachary properly celebrate his bday. Zachary had a lot of fun spending time with his cousin Aidan and his friends Avery and Cadence and was super excited when Aunt Aly gave him a "bubble generator" Thats right folks, 10,000 bubbles in minutes was its claim and of course we put it to the test!

I can hardly believe my baby turned 2 yesterday. The time has gone so quickly! We had a really great day starting with our playgroup friends in the morning. After a nice long nap, Grandmommy and Granddaddy Staples came over to help celebrate and daddy came home with Zachary's favorite, pizza!!!

Happy 85th Bday Granddad

What do you do when the patriarch of the family turns 85? You do whatever you can to get as many family members to Florida to help celebrate!! Zachary and I headed down about a week early to help Aunt Suzanne get ready and visit and Dave joined us over the weekend for the party. It was a very fun party and we were so happy to be able to be there to help celebrate!!!!

And baby makes 4!!!!!

We are so excited to announce that we are expecting our 2nd child! We found out on New Years Eve and couldn't be happier! So far so good...we had our first appt. on the 12th (of Feb) and the baby looks great! I am 11 weeks along and due Sept. 7th. Because this baby will come into the world the same way his/her big brother did (via c-section), the latest the baby will be born is August 31st. Stay tuned for baby updates!

Where have we been?

I know, I know...it's been forever since I've posted anything about the comings and goings of team Engel. My apologizes. The next few posts will explain what has kept us so busy and I hope you forgive me. Stay tuned for Zachary's bday pictures, Papa's 85th bday party and a few other exciting things.
