Isn't she lovely...

While Zach was having his swim lesson, I decided to take some pictures of Maddie enjoying some pool time. Our little daredevil looooves the water and is so happy to splash around in it...even crawl as you will see below. She puts her face in, loves to be dunked and blows bubbles. How cute is that?? I took a ton of pictures, but these are my favorites!

Tyke Hike at Greenwell State Park

Every Tuesday, Greenwell State Park hosts a little activity for kiddos. This morning was the "Tyke Hike". With near perfect weather and a wonderful breeze Clair, Molly, John, Zachary, Madeline and I headed there for a little walk on the water. We read a book about ladybugs, saw a family of swans (daddy, mommy and 5 babies), ran in the shade under some pretty big trees and then headed to Chick-fil-A for lunch. This was a great morning!!

Who's 10 months old?!?!?!?!?!?!

I AM!!!!!!!

We can hardly believe that Madeline is 10 months old! She is crawling now and we just noticed tooth #3 last night! She is Miss Personality and so much fun to be around! We love her to pieces and are so happy she is in our lives.

Monterey, CA

after a very looong day of travel (that had us up at 3:45 am EST) to the west coast, we did whatever it took to stay awake!!!

The gals!

Clair and I took a trip to California to visit the Swensons (Tina, Dave, Josh and Annalie) and to attend Annalie's dedication. We had a great great time (a little too much fun some would say...see post below) and a nice relaxing girls weekend! The Daddy's stayed home to hold down the forts for 4 whole days and 5 nights! Here are a few pictures from the trip. I'll post the rest on my online photoalbum.

Yep, it's true.....

....I went to Monterey, California and came back with a brand new tattoo....

"mother & friend"

Clair not sure what she's walked into!! (no, she didn't get one...not for lack of trying on my part!)

One of my favorite things

Sometimes we get caught up in the daily whatevers and forget to take a minute and breathe. I am so fortunate to be able to take my children to a beautiful place for a little "bring me back to center" time. More often that not in the summer, we are able to enjoy a beautiful sunset like this one.

Happy 3rd birthday to Carl

We spent a nice beautiful morning at the Holmberg house celebrating Carls 3rd bday! Zachary loved fishing with big Carl and was so excited when they caught a bass!!! Madeline of course enjoyed all the attention that Carl's grandma gave her and she especially liked the lunch and cake!!!

Mommy being artistic

I've been working on a project in our living room for the past few weeks involving black and white photos of us and the kids and soem other fun things. These are the latest two that will make an appearance soon on "the wall"

updates to come

just wanted all of you blog readers that I will be posting pictures and such very soon! Just got back from a fun weekend in California and have spent the last few days shaking the cobwebs, getting back on east coast time and hanging out with the fam. But, I promise more to come soon!!!

Our friends and neighbors, the Wolfe's (Scott, Mary, Natalie & David) invited us for a day out on their boat. We cruised around for a bit, had lunch at Clarke's Landing and then found our way to a little beach for some fun in the sun. We then packed everyone up, cruised around some more and came home. The weather was great and we got home just in time because a wicked thunderstorm rolled in about an hour after we got home! We had so much fun. It was Madeline's first boating trip and she loved it. Zachary did great too...he had fun playing in the water and "fishing"!

Hangin' out

Hammin' it up!
"nice shades, dude"!
chocolate ice cream face :) "I love ice cream" is all Zach would say but he had more fun feeding it to Madeline
than eating it himself!
Our babies :)
The weather has been so nice and we heard the humidity was coming so we got outside to enjoy the beautiful days of spring! In the evening we took the kids to Solomons for ice cream. It was Madeline's first Cone Island experience (well she had her fill in utero last summer :) ) and she love love LOVED it!!! It was Zachary's first outing in big boy underpants since our potty training experience began and he did great! No accidents WOO HOO!!!

Last day of school

Thursday was Zachary's last day of school. Hard to believe the change we have see in him in just 9 short months. The picture on the left is his first day of school and the one on the right is his last. What a big boy. We are so proud of him!!!
