Dr. Checkups

Z & M had their 3 year and 9 month checkups this morning. (yes yes I am aware I am a little late on Zachary's but since he didn't get shots, I figured I'd take them both at the same time...no worries there).

So here are their stats:

Zachary

40" tall (3 feet 4 inches) (95th%tile)

37.4 pounds (90th%tile)

doing great!!!

Madeline

29" tall (2 feet 5 inches)(95th %tile)

23.14 pounds ( off the charts...oops ;) )

doing great!!!

Madeline got 2 shots and proceded to sleep most of the day but is up and happy now. Between shot pain and teething pain, she's a sore little cookie :(. Bpth kids continue to learn and grow and brighten our days! We are in the throws of potty training Zachary (cold turkey this time...no turning back) so wish us well!!!

What a wonderful Memorial Day weekend we had in the mountains! The weather was beautiful and the bugs kept at bay so we were able to enjoy our weekend with my parents to the fullest. We hiked a trail for kids called "the Lions Tale" and Zachary liked it so much we went back the next day. On day 2 I even got a little brave and walked out into the FREEZING creek for a photo by a little waterfall (see below). We rode the 4 wheelers and cooked dinner for my moms birthday. Aunt Patty and Uncle Mike came over that night too for dinner and cake. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and fun weekend away!!!

This week while Dave is in Jackson, Mississippi (go ahead sing the song, you know you want to..... "he's gone to Jackson") for work and Zachary is at my parents house for a visit, Madeline and I are enjoying some "girls time". Having a baby that sleeps until 8:00 in the morning (if all is quiet) made it especially nice this morning as I got to sleep in that late too!!!!

Of course I miss my boys terribly but sometimes its nice to be just the girls!!

9 months old

Look who's 9 months old!!! I can hardly belive that the tiny 6 pound 12 ounce baby that came into our lives in August is now the 23 pound happy baby girl that brightens our days! We are so lucky to have little Madeline Suzanne in our lives!

Deja Vu

Seems like just yesterday I had Zachary in the backpack and now it's Madeline's turn! They have a lot in common and we added loving this backpack to the list!

French Fry Girl!

For only being 9 months (tomorrow) and having just 2 teeth, Madeline is a champ when it comes to eating. She prefers table food to baby food and loves whatever she could get her little hands on. This weekend it was, pizza, grilled cheese and french fries! Couldn't resist taking these pictures. Just toooo cute!

Penn State Weekend

We headed to State College, PA this weekend to visit our friends "The Moore's". We had a super fun time and the kids enjoyed Daddy giving them a tour of his alma mater.

Another tooth...

As of last night, Madeline now has 2 teeth!!! She's been rather cranky for the past few days and when her beautiful smile returned last night, I noticed another tooth...right there next to her first one. She really wants to eat table food rather than baby food so the more teeth the better!!!

Hello and Happy Day after Mother's day to all you fabulous mothers out there! If you are a fan of our blog, you are probably noticing some changes being made. Please bear with me while the creative bug has gotten to me and I am playing with a few new features and trying to make this a really fun place to come and check up on us.

I am trying to get it to just play when you are at the blog but for the time being, click the "pop out" button and follow the instructions. Picture and layout changes on there way when I get some more free time....I have to go now as Madeline is crying and Zachary is in desperate need of a diaper change! :)

Nationals Game

The weather was so beautiful yesterday we decided to take the kids to their very 1st baseball game at the New Nationals Park!! The Nationals played the Pirates so there was a little competition between me and Dave! And of course the Nationals won in the end (score when we left at the bottom of the 8th was 5-1)!! Everyone had a great time and we can't wait to go again!

Wondering where we've been? Well, the kids and I spent 10 beautiful days in sunny Florida wiht my Aunt Suzanne (Grantie Sue to the kids) and Jerry (Gruncle). We visited my Granddad and Laurie, went to the zoo, spent time at Disney!
