to express my outrageous excitetment about the fact that the McBrides are returning to the States in just 4 short weeks!!!! After 3 looooooong years, my very best friend in the whole wide world is coming home :)!
For those of you who don't know, don't remember (eek gasp) or are right here with me on this, on September 18, 2005, Sarah and Sean packed it all up and moved to Spain. Oh..how sad I was. Zachary was only 7 months old, I think I was still a bit hormonal and them moving was like the single most earth shattering event that happened to me (well in September of that year :) ). And when they left, Sarah said they would be gone for 3 years, Sean said 5 and as soon as they got there, Sarah seemed to change her mind and was brought to the 5 year darkside.
How was I going to live without her for 5 years??? But, we made the best of it. We worked out the time difference, we talked all the time, I went to visit (with Delight...fabulous trip, check out my online photo album for pictures), they came home to visit and we somehow made it all work.
And then something wonderful happened....baby Ameila was born!! Not only was I super happy to have a new little niece, but she also brought the possibility that her mommy and daddy just might want to come home early! And so it all began...the countdown to 5 years became the countdown to OCTOBER 2008!!!!! And now, we are anxiously awaiting their return. I am so excited for our girls to grow up together and for my kids to truely get to know and love their Aunt Sarah and Uncle Sean and "cousin" Amelia!!
So, to you my dear Sarah..I know things are stressful now and that this is yet another HUGE change for you. I know you are going to miss Spain terribly ( i would think you are crazy if you didn't) and have mixed emotions on leaving. BUT, we, Team Engel, are so very crazy excited to have you back and want to help make this transistion the greatest it can be for you! Whatever we can do....let me know....seriously!
Look out USA, the McBrides are comin' back...YIPPIE YIPPIE YIPPIE!

we really are excited to be US residents again! can't wait to get the kiddos together and to see you guys. 4 weeks!
